Transcend Creative Services (www.tcs-publishing.com), Bangalore (in collaboration with Aquent Studios, USA) is currently looking for Senior Technical Writers with 4 to 6+ years of technical writing experience in IT/high-tech organizations. It’s a full time remote working opportunity on contract basis for HPE.
The job description
- Develop high-quality technical documentation for Compute Engineering team working on Server Manageability project at HPE.
- Analyze customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan.
- Design and develop product-related information (for example, user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information integrated into product, for a variety of audiences.
- Work with engineers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to ensure that the information in your documents is complete and accurate.
- Conduct a self-review and ensure that the document is free from technical, grammatical, and language errors.
- Review customer facing contents for products (different HPE components built on Morpheus) being published to HPE Support Center. Ensure all content meets HPE standards and has all relevant information that is needed for the product
- Ensure product release notes and enhancements are in sync with product being released with upgrade and downgrade instructions are clearly documented. Make sure related customer advisory or customer bulletin links are included with the product being published.
- Adhere to project deadlines. Proactively inform the Project Manager about project status, issues or concerns, including issues of scope, schedule, process, and quality.
- Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters. Develop expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment.
- Provide information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.
Good to have knowledge
- Knowledge of Github/slate and XML/DITA would be advantageous but not a must.
- Specific expertise in Storage or Servers domain would be advantageous but not a must.
- API documentation would be desirable.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in any discipline with excellent English language skills. Candidates with Engineering degree will be given preference.
